This is the first book in the Cuthbert comedy series. A fictional Valley where time stands still is home to larger than life characters.

These people interact and spark off each other with often chaotic and dire results. Shakespeare is rumoured to have been a teacher at the local Mandrake Hall whilst hiding from Elizabeth I after writing the critical play know as Shakespeare’s Cuthbert.

Does a transcript still survive? Several strangers moving into the Valley believe it does. Can the even stranger inhabitants prevail?
